WHERE? 
When visiting Slovenia you are truly welcome in Antikvariat Glavan in the center of Ljubljana, its capital. Our antiquarian bookshop can be found in the lower passage of the Maximarket store, in front of the entrance to the Cankarjev dom cultural centre. An opened parking and a garage are just nearby, in front of the Slovenian Parliament. A visit is pleasant in every time of the year as our shop is air-conditioned. You can hang your wardrobe on a coat hanger in the shop and freely leaf through our books. Some old-books window-shopping can be done for example while waiting for a concert in Cankarjev dom. 
 
WHAT IS AN ANTIQURIAN BOOKSHOP? 
An antiquarian bookshop trades with the rare, old and used books, various old prints, postcards and geographical maps, periodical publications and some more recent, already sold out books. The books in our shop are written mostly in Slovenian language, but you can also find some in English, German, French, Italian etc. We buy and sell the antiquarian, the second-hand books and the old prints. Our antiquarian estimates the books regarding offer and demand on the market, their preservation and actuality. The antiquarian uses different catalogues and reference books for the older and the rare prints. These prints are evaluated depending on their pretentiousness and extent of the professional, more detailed handling of some questions. 

WHO ARE WE?
Antikvariat Glavan is a family company in which the lovers and the explorers of a printed cultural heritage joined their knowledge and the experiences. We introduce our visitors with the new discoveries on old prints since 2003. Joined by an extreme love for the old books and inspired by a great desire in seeing for any new book treasuries, we wish to share our curiosity with you. We do our best to offer you clean and well preserved books and upgrade our assortment every day. Concerning your private library, we can give you advice on the old print’s assortment, prepare an expert opinion or make a judicial estimation. We are specialized on the old and the rare prints, except the old money and the postage stamps. As the members of Slovenian society of Art dealers and antiquarians (Društvo galeristov in starinarjev Slovenije), we participate every autumn in Antiquarian and fine arts fair in the Slovenian National Museum in Ljubljana.
